.::.

You know that overwhelming feeling you get when you drop a glass or a plate on the ground and it shatters? That exact feeling when you feel the glass slip out of your hand and you see the shards scatter all over the floor and you feel your insides freeze and suddenly feel worthless. When that happens to me (quite often I should add, I'm not very smooth) I usually swear and then do my best to clean it up, but right now I feel like I can't do it.

I just have this inconvenient feeling that I’ll never be able to clean up all the pieces.

I don’t know what to do. I just need to get this out of me so I can function for the day.

In other news that is slightly related I’m moving back to Provo at the end of the semester in an attempt to help me put my life back together. Have a good one kids

Sounds like someone needs a Jamba Juice and a Chicken Caesar Pita. And a hug. From a lot of different people.

You've got lots of friends, AtP. I'm sure any one of us would love to give you any help we can. You're not alone...you have friends. :)

...better add that you have some divine friends, too...

Hey, will I still see you tonight? Don't forget I love you and actually, friends are great at helping pick up the pieces. I wouldn't be whole right now without the help of good friends. And just like Kengo said, keep in mind that your Savior is your greatest friend too. There's nothing too hard for him to fix. *HUG*

P.S. I like the label on this post. "word vomit" Sometimes you just gotta do it.

Yes, we can go shopping next week. However, I'm changing my mind about the gold lame. My feet are small enough I don't think I can carry it off as well as you can.

My friend, you're right--you'll never be able to clean up all the pieces alone...good thing we have the atonement to help us out. Oh, and I'm not going anywhere, you know where to find me if you need me. I'll see you next week and I expect you to collect on these:

*hug* *hug* *hug* *hug* *hug* *hug* *hug*

Sometimes when I'm fumbling a plate or glass and it finally goes down I have this automatic reflex and my foot flies out and kicks it. In a final attempt to save it, I boot the thing across the room. To this day I've never successfully caught anything with my feet, but there's no suppressing it. Not sure how that really fits in with your analogy (maybe kicking it is some innate self-destructive behavior, bla bla bla), I just wondered if that ever happens to anyone else.

In all seriousness, though, I echo what the others have said. If there's ever anything I can do to help pick up the pieces, or if you just want to exchange stories of clumsiness, let me know.

AtP - When I was your age I felt like I'd ruined my life with decisions I'd made. I remember meeting with my Bishop and feeling completely hopeless. I wanted to go on a mission and all that but I didn't think it would happen anymore. He told me that sometimes your whole world has to crumble to pieces so that you can rebuild. As horrible as that may sound he was right. Fortunately through the Savior I was able to rebuild (I'm still building because I'm am far from perfect) and years later I see that I've come a long way. The Savior can help us pick up all the pieces and put it all back together again. Hope things turn around for you. Oh, and by the way, thanks for dinner last night.
