"The important thing is this: to be willing at any moment to sacrifice what we are for what we could become."

What are we willing to sacrifice?

Wow you are good! I definitely would give up my coping mechanisms that I use to get through life for something better. It can be pretty dang hard though. We tend to cling to what we know even if it does cause the pain we go through.It is familiar.

I hold on to far too much that I should be willing to get rid of. I sometimes wonder if I'd be willing to give up 'all my sins' as Lamoni claimed. I know I'd like to, but it's obviously pretty tough, since none of us have quite gotten it right yet.

I'd most like to get rid of my selfish and self-centered streak. I'd be willing to give it up for the Lord if I could only find the strength and the means.

Emma: "Do you ever think that God asks too much of us?"

Joseph: "I don't let myself."

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Brigham: "How do we endure well?"
Joseph: "We do our best and just keep going."
It was good to see you...and if you visit Drex's blog I'm now affirmed I will make a blog...then you can stop hating on me *poke*
I'm grateful for this post because it makes me evaluate myself. Am I willing to sacrifice everything I have to go forward and embrace my destiny? That could be part of where I get hung up. Sigh. Lamesauce.
I wish I could let go of things more easily. I tend to internalize everything and go into overload mode more than I should, which could be avoided if I were willing to give up my selfish independence and turn things over to the Lord.
It was fun to meet you guys last night and I agree with Drex that it should happen again.
